Júlio Aires is a multifaceted artist with a diverse career in design and photography. Born in Viseu in 1963, he showed a strong connection to the arts and culture from a young age, which led him to participate in various cultural initiatives in his hometown.
In the 1980s, he joined the Cooperativa Árvore in Porto, an important space for the development of art and culture in the city, and later deepened his studies by attending the Communication Design course at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP).
Although he began his professional career in the field of Design, with various projects developed over the years, Júlio Aires also nurtured a growing interest in photography. To further his knowledge in this area, he attended one of the courses offered by the Portuguese Institute of Photography (IPF) in Porto.
In recent years, he has dedicated his energy to photography, carrying out a series of projects that resulted in several solo and group exhibitions. His photographic work reflects the evolution of his passion for visual arts and capturing significant moments.
This journey and dedication to art make Júlio Aires a relevant figure in the contemporary artistic scene, both in the fields of design and photography.
